Children’s Book Project partnered with NPG to develop a fundraising strategy and prepare funding proposals which would enable them to distribute hundreds of thousands of books to children with limited access to reading, especially during the pandemic. Climate change is one of the biggest threats to mankind, and is already having devastating impacts across the globe, with a disproportionate effect on those from the Global South, who contribute the least to emissions. As such, we want to proactively help your organisation access the funds it needs to help lead the way in an ever-changing and complex environment. The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 1 – 12 November 2021. The UK is committed to working with all countries and joining forces with civil society, companies, and people on the frontline of climate change to inspire climate action ahead of COP26. Sports and well-being are often overlooked, and at NPG, we pride ourselves on being able to make strong arguments to grant-givers. These revolve around tackling the mental health endemic, where the wellbeing of the country is collectively deteriorating, as well as reflecting on the strains on the NHS because of physical-health related issues. The Covid-19 pandemic has reinforced the need for healthier lives and physical activity. Your work as a sports organisation is vital in the rehabilitation process during and after the pandemic ends, to reengage society in health, well-being, and sports initiatives. This is even more important for marginalised communities such as BAME groups where there are increased rates of heart disease and diabetes, as well as other underlying health conditions. Engaging young people, women and older people is also a key priority.
