3 min readEncore’s single column overhead machine designs allow customers to view the process from the safety of the cleanroom. Dual columns have limited visibility requiring the process to be viewed from inside the booth. Blow-off: Using Encore engineered and designed standard machines and robot mounted assemblies Encore offers an extensive assortment of custom blow off systems for a wide variety of vehicle and product sizes. Blow off systems typically fan driven, electro-statically charged, to remove dirt and foreign particles from the surface of parts prior to painting. There are a variety of options on blow off systems, including: Stationary (fixed) or Machine/Robotic. Machine configurations are of various sizes and complexities, High/low volume, high/low velocity air, Compressed or fan driven air, PC based or PLC based visualization systems, PLC based with PC or Panel view Graphical User Interfaces, Clean Wall or In-booth Design, Vacuum collection and/or booth collection of dirt.
Automation systems spray a PVC or Polyurethane based material onto the rocker panel, sill, and under body to prevent stones and rocks from chipping the paint in this area. Also known as stone guard chip or SGC. Every paint shop is different. TKS offers each paint system as an independent module, so each customer can mix and match to meet their requirements. TKS offers a proprietary high-pressure water spray technology to clean car bodies of weld balls and iron dust prior to the film build processes. A clean car body is critical to a quality surface finish. TKS has a patented counterflow design circulation system for Electro-deposition (ED) tanks. Rather than a traditional eddy swirling, which kicks up dirt from the bottom of the tank, our Counter-flow technology moves the entire ED current in one direction, from exit to entry. At vehicle entry the e-coat paint / UF water mixture is pulled through a UF filter module, and pumped back to the end of the tank. This ensures that the last layers of ED coating are the cleanest. TKS also offers both dry and wet scrubbers for paint booth overspray and particulate emission control. After the wet scrubber, the paint booth exhaust air is sent to a VOC abatement device such as a thermal oxidizer, regenerative oxidizer (RTO), or Rotor concentrator.
